Mount Kimbie

Arguably responsible for inspiring the term “post-dubstep,” English duo Mount Kimbie has been producing their own brand of electronic music for nearly a decade. Dominic Maker and Kai Campos formed Mount Kimbie while both attended Southbank University in London. The duo released their debut EP, Maybes, in 2009, followed months later by their second EP, Sketch on Glass. In 2010, the band released their debut album, Crooks & Lovers, to widespread critical acclaim. Composed of field recordings, samples and live instrumentation, the album was included in over thirty Best Albums of 2010 lists, including lists by NME, Mixmag, Resident Advisor and Pitchfork. Their second album, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, released in 2013 on Warp Records and received overwhelmingly positive reviews. This July, Mount Kimbie announced they would release their third album, Love What Survives, in September, preempted by the single “Blue Train Lines” featuring King Krule.
